List of Depression Resources

While I’ve known a handful of people throughout my life that were open about their battle with depression, I truly had no idea that as many as 1 in 10 people will suffer from it at some point in their lifetime (1). Not only that, but depression can fuel other disorders like chronic anxiety and even substance abuse – and vice versa (2)!

I can’t help but think that I or even someone I love may someday succumb to depression, so for the sake of my family, I decided to take action. I built the following list of resources to share with others, because who knows how many people may quietly be fighting this illness?

I think it would be a wonderful fit on your site, in full or in part (perhaps if included here:http://dbsatucson.org/resources/?), so please share this information! As a family health advocate, I hope you will also consider letting me write a (free!) research-based article on this crucial topic for your audience – let me know if you’re interested!
